Poem:

Snow in New York City

by Patricia Ryan

Copyright by Patricia Ryan.

Waiting for the people

to be my pathfinder

walking it down,

warming it up,

kicking it

aside,

clearing

barren patches

like a

wild beast

eating its way

through the

African veldt.

My timing

must be

a Mexican diver's

into the exact

supportive

swell

of the Acapulco

wave.
