Disability groups announce formal opposition to Alito
A number of national disability rights groups have announced their formal opposition to the nomination of Third Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Samuel Alito to the US Supreme Court. At a press conference today, the group delivers a report on Alito's track record on disability rights.
The group says that Alito's nomination "presents grave concerns for people with disabilities. Having sat on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals for 15 years, Judge Alito has a record of decisions that make very clear the threat he poses to disability rights."
Groups listed on the press release include ADA Watch/National Coalition for Disability Rights, the Alliance of Disability Advocates, the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund, the National Council on Independent Living and the World Association of People with Disabilities.

We must oppose the nomination of Judge Alito to the supreme court. Contact your senators immediately and ask them to vote NO for Alito.
