NYC Taxi Industry Upset Over Access Proposal
The taxi industry is up in arms about proposed legislation that would require half of the 308 taxi medallions sold next month be set aside for wheelchair accessible cabs.

Only half?
That's like saying: only half of the new libraries being built need to be accessible. Only half of the bus routes need accessible busses. Only half of private schools and colleges need to be accessible.
Only half?
Imagine if the Civil Rights Act of 1964 had a footnote stating: while discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, or national origin is prohibited, discrimination is prohibited only half of the time in cases where individuals, corporations, and entities can allege a good reason for doing so.
