Clinton Administration puts $960 million into Medicaid initiatives
Oct. 27 - President Clinton announced measures to let states expand Medicaid coverage to people with disabilities by providing benefits to people who would not otherwise be eligible -- and inititaives to get people moved from institutions into the community. Deaf marchers encounter discrimination at Supreme Court steps
Oct. 3 -- Federal police tell deaf activists at the "March for Justice" that their interpreter can't stand on the Supreme Court steps. Gallaudet student J. Michael Revis caught the confrontation on camera.
