Supreme Ct to hear Tennessee ADA Title 2 case

WASHINGTON, DC, June 23, 2003 -- The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to take the Americans with Disabilities Act Title 2 case appeal from Tennessee, which will determine whether states can be sued for failing to install wheelchair ramps or other accommodations. The case, Tennessee v. Lane, 02-1667, concerns a paraplegic man who crawled two flights of steps to reach a hearing in a courthouse that lacked an elevator.
