New Yorkers Keep Waiting For Medicaid Waiver

ALBANY, NY, JUNE 1, 2005-- Nearly a year ago, the New York Legislature passed a measure that would allow the state to use Medicaid money to help about 5,000 people with disabilities to stay in their own homes rather than be forced into nursing homes or other institutions over the next three years -- while cutting the cost of their services in half.
